Privacy policy

EbolaIntel is operated from Germany under EU law. The legally binding version of this policy is the German Datenschutzerklärung. This English version is provided for accessibility.

Controller

Hosting and server logs

EbolaIntel is hosted on servers in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). Server logs record IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer, and user agent - the standard set required to operate a web service - on the legal basis of GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in a secure and functional service). Logs are not joined with other data and are auto-deleted after at most 14 days.

Analytics (Plausible Community Edition)

We use a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics (Community Edition). Plausible stores no cookies, no IP addresses, and no personal identifiers. Only aggregated metrics are collected (page viewed, referrer domain, browser family, country derived from IP - the IP itself is discarded). Under German § 25 (2)(2) TDDDG no consent banner is required because no access to the user's device beyond what is strictly necessary occurs; the additional legal basis is GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies. Standard browser caching may apply but contains no personal identifier from us.

External content

Linked external sites (WHO, CDC, Africa CDC, etc.) are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not embed external content from third-party CDNs (no YouTube embeds, no Google Fonts, no social-media buttons with third-party trackers).
