EbolaIntel is written and edited by Thomas Kraaibeek, an independent software engineer and editor based in Münster, Germany. Thomas also operates Hantaflow, a hantavirus outbreak signal tracker, which provides the editorial and engineering pattern this site follows.
Thomas is not a physician, virologist, or public-health official. EbolaIntel is journalism and reference work, not medical advice. Every clinical or epidemiological claim on the site is sourced and intended to be checkable against primary documents. When in doubt about a clinical situation, contact your local public-health authority or a qualified clinician.

Editorial policy
Every public claim on the site is intended to be traceable to a primary source in our source ledger. Numbers conform to WHO Disease Outbreak News case definitions; when sources disagree we say which we are using and link both. See the methodology page for the full process.
Funding and disclosures
EbolaIntel is currently self-funded by the editor. Analytics are self-hosted, cookieless Plausible. Hosting is in Germany; the domain is registered to the editor. The footer "more from the maker" pills point at the editor's other projects and are clearly labelled as such.
Material relationships that could affect coverage will be disclosed here if they emerge.
